CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/mlx5: Fix error flow upon firmware failure for RQ destruction
Upon RQ destruction if the firmware command fails which is the
last resource to be destroyed some SW resources were already cleaned
regardless of the failure.
Now properly rollback the object to its original state upon such failure.
In order to avoid a use-after free in case someone tries to destroy the
object again, which results in the following kernel trace:
refcount_t: underflow; use-after-free.

| Modules/_pickle.c in Python before 3.7.1 has an integer overflow via a large LONG_BINPUT value that is mishandled during a "resize to twice the size" attempt. This issue might cause memory exhaustion, but is only relevant if the pickle format is used for serializing tens or hundreds of gigabytes of data. This issue is fixed in: v3.4.10, v3.4.10rc1; v3.5.10, v3.5.10rc1, v3.5.7, v3.5.7rc1, v3.5.8, v3.5.8rc1, v3.5.8rc2, v3.5.9; v3.6.10, v3.6.10rc1, v3.6.11, v3.6.11rc1, v3.6.12, v3.6.7, v3.6.7rc1, v3.6.7rc2, v3.6.8, v3.6.8rc1, v3.6.9, v3.6.9rc1; v3.7.1, v3.7.1rc1, v3.7.1rc2, v3.7.2, v3.7.2rc1, v3.7.3, v3.7.3rc1, v3.7.4, v3.7.4rc1, v3.7.4rc2, v3.7.5, v3.7.5rc1, v3.7.6, v3.7.6rc1, v3.7.7, v3.7.7rc1, v3.7.8, v3.7.8rc1, v3.7.9. |
| CAI Content Credentials is affected by an Integer Overflow or Wraparound vulnerability that could result in an application denial-of-service. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to crash the application, leading to a denial-of-service condition. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must visit a maliciously crafted URL or interact with a compromised web page. |

| Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Office Outlook allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| util-linux is a random collection of Linux utilities. Before util-linux 2.41.4, `parse_dos_extended()` in `libblkid/src/partitions/dos.c` computes an extended-partition start sector with 32-bit addition and does not apply the extended-area bounds checks to the first two EBR entries. A local attacker who causes a crafted DOS extended-partition disk image or removable medium to be probed can wrap `cur_start + start` to sector zero and cause libblkid to report a false partition overlapping the MBR. This directly compromises the integrity of the reported partition metadata; disk modification or availability loss requires a separate downstream consumer to act on that metadata. This issue is fixed in 2.41.4. |
| Positive mapped-video coordinates overflow and abort FreeRDP clients A malicious or compromised RDP server can terminate a FreeRDP client after the user connects with video redirection enabled. |
| OpenS100 through commit 2b1dafc contains an integer overflow vulnerability in the S-102 Bathymetric Surface parser. An attacker can supply a crafted S-102 HDF5 file with malicious grid dimension metadata that causes memory corruption when a user opens it. In the S102_VG_BathymetryCoverage::Read() function, the numPointsLatitudinal and numPointsLongitudinal values are multiplied without validation, and the 32-bit result can wrap around, producing an undersized heap buffer allocation. Subsequent writes past the end of that buffer cause a heap-based buffer overflow, leading to an application crash or potential arbitrary code execution in the context of the user who opened the file. |
| Integer overflow or wraparound in Microsoft Windows Codecs Library allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
s390/zcrypt: Improve CCA CPRB length and overflow checks
The xcrb_msg_to_type6cprb_msgx() function lacks proper input
validation, creating security vulnerabilities:
1. Integer overflow after CEIL4 alignment: Signed int variables could
overflow during 4-byte boundary alignment, causing undersized
buffer allocations or incorrect bounds checking.
2. Missing minimum size validation: The CPRBX structure is copied from
userspace without verifying sufficient buffer length. Undersized
buffers cause uninitialized memory access when reading structure
fields like cprbx.cprb_len and cprbx.domain.
3. Arithmetic overflow in sum calculations: Adding control block and
data block sizes could overflow, bypassing size checks and enabling
buffer overflows.
Fix by using size_t for length calculations, adding U32_MAX boundary
checks after alignment, validating minimum control block size before
copying from userspace, and detecting sum calculation overflows. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/mlx5: LAG, Fix off-by-one in single-FDB error rollback
On failure at index i, the reverse cleanup loop in
mlx5_lag_create_single_fdb() starts from i, so the failed index
itself is rolled back. That can operate on uninitialized state or
double-tear-down a rule the add_one path already self-rolled-back.
Start the rollback from i - 1 so only successfully-installed entries
are undone. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
6lowpan: fix off-by-one in multicast context address compression
The second memcpy in lowpan_iphc_mcast_ctx_addr_compress() uses
&data[1] as destination and &ipaddr->s6_addr[11] as source, but
both should be offset by one: &data[2] and &ipaddr->s6_addr[12]
respectively.
This off-by-one has two consequences:
1. data[1] is overwritten with s6_addr[11], corrupting the RIID
field in the compressed multicast address
2. data[5] is never written, so uninitialized kernel stack memory
is transmitted over the network via lowpan_push_hc_data(),
leaking kernel stack contents
The correct inline data layout must match what the decompression
function lowpan_uncompress_multicast_ctx_daddr() expects:
data[0..1] = s6_addr[1..2] (flags/scope + RIID)
data[2..5] = s6_addr[12..15] (group ID)
Also zero-initialize the data array as a defensive measure against
similar bugs in the future. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
thunderbolt: Reject zero-length property entries in validator
tb_property_entry_valid() accepts entries with length == 0 for
DIRECTORY, DATA, and TEXT types. A zero-length TEXT entry passes
validation but causes an underflow in the null-termination logic:
property->value.text[property->length * 4 - 1] = '\0';
When property->length is 0 this writes to offset -1 relative to
the allocation.
Reject zero-length entries early in the validator since they have no
valid representation in the XDomain property protocol. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
i2c: dev: prevent integer overflow in I2C_TIMEOUT ioctl
While fuzzing with Syzkaller, a persistent `schedule_timeout: wrong
timeout value` warning was observed, accompanied by SMBus controller
state machine corruption.
The I2C_TIMEOUT ioctl accepts a user-provided timeout in multiples of
10 ms. The user argument is checked against INT_MAX, but it is
subsequently multiplied by 10 before being passed to msecs_to_jiffies().
A malicious user can pass a large value (e.g., 429496729) that passes
the `arg > INT_MAX` check but overflows when multiplied by 10. This
results in a truncated 32-bit unsigned value that bypasses the
internal `(int)m < 0` check in `msecs_to_jiffies()`.
The truncated value is then assigned to `client->adapter->timeout`
(a signed 32-bit int), which is reinterpreted as a negative number.
When passed to wait_for_completion_timeout(), this negative value
undergoes sign extension to a 64-bit unsigned long, triggering the
`schedule_timeout` warning and causing premature returns. This leaves
the SMBus state machine in an unrecoverable state, constituting a
local Denial of Service (DoS).
Fix this by bounding the user argument to `INT_MAX / 10`.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/sched: fix pedit partial COW leading to page cache corruption
tcf_pedit_act() computes the COW range for skb_ensure_writable()
once before the key loop using tcfp_off_max_hint, but the hint does
not account for the runtime header offset added by typed keys. This
can leave part of the write region un-COW'd.
Fix by moving skb_ensure_writable() inside the per-key loop where
the actual write offset is known, and add overflow checking on the
offset arithmetic. For negative offsets (e.g. Ethernet header edits
at ingress), use skb_cow() to COW the headroom instead. Guard
offset_valid() against INT_MIN, where negation is undefined. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dm: fix a buffer overflow in ioctl processing
Tony Asleson (using Claude) found a buffer overflow in dm-ioctl in the
function retrieve_status:
1. The code in retrieve_status checks that the output string fits into
the output buffer and writes the output string there
2. Then, the code aligns the "outptr" variable to the next 8-byte
boundary:
outptr = align_ptr(outptr);
3. The alignment doesn't check overflow, so outptr could point past the
buffer end
4. The "for" loop is iterated again, it executes:
remaining = len - (outptr - outbuf);
5. If "outptr" points past "outbuf + len", the arithmetics wraps around
and the variable "remaining" contains unusually high number
6. With "remaining" being high, the code writes more data past the end of
the buffer
Luckily, this bug has no security implications because:
1. Only root can issue device mapper ioctls
2. The commonly used libraries that communicate with device mapper
(libdevmapper and devicemapper-rs) use buffer size that is aligned to
8 bytes - thus, "outptr = align_ptr(outptr)" can't overshoot the input
buffer and the bug can't happen accidentally |
