CVE-2026-98456 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: mgmt: fix race in read_unconf_index_list() read_unconf_index_list() counts unconfigured controllers before allocating its response, then checks the device flags again while filling it. hci_dev_list_lock stabilizes list membership, but it does not serialize the per-device flags. During asynchronous controller setup, the worker can set HCI_UNCONFIGURED and clear HCI_SETUP between the two passes. A controller omitted from the allocation count can then become eligible for the fill pass, causing an out-of-bounds write to rp->index[]. Allocate space for every device on hci_dev_list. Since list membership cannot change while hci_dev_list_lock is held, the response remains large enough regardless of flag transitions. The reported count and response length still include only eligible unconfigured controllers.
CVE-2026-100231 2 Red Hat, Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-24 6.1 Medium
A flaw was found in the GStreamer multimedia framework's ASF muxer plugin (asfmux). When writing string metadata tags containing Unicode characters outside the Basic Multilingual Plane (such as emoji) to an ASF container, the plugin incorrectly calculates the buffer size needed for the UTF-16LE representation. The size calculation assumes each Unicode code point requires 2 bytes, but non-BMP characters require 4 bytes (surrogate pairs). This leads to a heap out-of-bounds write when the actual UTF-16LE conversion is written into the undersized buffer. An attacker could exploit this by providing media with crafted metadata tags to an application that transcodes or remuxes to ASF format while preserving metadata, potentially causing a denial of service or limited memory corruption.
CVE-2026-98827 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 5.3 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k_htc: bound TX aggregation to MAX_TX_BUF_SIZE __hif_usb_tx() dequeues up to MAX_TX_AGGR_NUM (20) frames into a single tx_buf of MAX_TX_BUF_SIZE (32768) bytes, limiting the batch by record count but never by cumulative byte length. With large frames (MTU 2304), 20 aggregated frames of 2292 bytes each exceed the allocation (20 * 2296 = 45920 bytes), so the memcpy() in the loop writes up to 13152 bytes past tx_buf->buf before usb_submit_urb(). Peek the queue head and stop before copying any record that would cross MAX_TX_BUF_SIZE, then dispatch the current batch. Leftover skbs remain queued and are drained on the next URB completion. The byte bound changes the loop's exit semantics: it can now exit before i == tx_skb_cnt - 1. Stock only finalized tx_buf->len on that last index (len += offset), so an early break would submit a URB holding only the last record's length while every dequeued skb is freed on completion, silently dropping frames. Make tx_buf->len a running total and advance tx_buf->offset per record instead; the stride round_up(nskb->len + 4, 4) is identical to the stock stride when the loop runs to completion. Tested on hardware with an MTU 2304 flood: the loop stops at record 15 (len = 32144, offset = 32144, within 32768), no oversized URB is submitted, and MTU 1500 pings pass 20/20.
CVE-2026-98848 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 4.1 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rtc: ac100: Assign .num before accessing .hws Commit f316cdff8d67 ("clk: Annotate struct clk_hw_onecell_data with __counted_by") annotated the hws member of 'struct clk_hw_onecell_data' with __counted_by, which informs the bounds sanitizer (UBSAN_BOUNDS) about the number of elements in .hws[], so that it can warn when .hws[] is accessed out of bounds. As noted in that change, the __counted_by member must be initialized with the number of elements before the first array access happens, otherwise there will be a warning from each access prior to the initialization because the number of elements is zero. This occurs in ac100_rtc_register_clks() due to .num being assigned only after every clkout clock has been stored in .hws[]. With CONFIG_UBSAN_BOUNDS and a compiler that implements __counted_by (GCC 15.1+ or Clang 20.1+), this triggers an array-index-out-of-bounds report during probe, and with CONFIG_UBSAN_TRAP the first store traps. Initialize .num with AC100_CLKOUT_NUM, the number of elements .hws[] was allocated with, right after the allocation. That is the value the loop counter ends up at on the success path anyway, so the provider's behaviour is unchanged.
CVE-2026-98808 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 6.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: systemport: Fix buffer overflow in bcm_sysport_get_stats() When running on SYSTEMPORT Lite, certain statistics are unsupported and skipped during bcm_sysport_get_stats(). The variable 'j' tracks the compacted index into the destination data buffer, whereas 'i' iterates over all elements in bcm_sysport_gstrings_stats. Because the buffer allocated by ethtool is sized only according to bcm_sysport_get_sset_count(), storing values at data[i] instead of data[j] writes past the allocated array bounds, leading to memory corruption. Fix this by writing to data[j] instead of data[i].
CVE-2026-106110 1 Sixlabors 1 Imagesharp 2026-10-24 7.5 High
ImageSharp is a 2D graphics library. From 2.0.0 until 4.1.2, the TIFF CCITT Group 3 encoder allocates an undersized compressed-data buffer for narrow 1-bit images. TiffCcittCompressor.Initialize does not reserve enough space for the row data and T4 end-of-line codes, and T4BitCompressor.CompressStrip reaches unchecked writes when TiffCompression.CcittGroup3Fax is selected directly or inherited from decoded TIFF metadata. An attacker-controlled encode or decode-and-re-encode flow can write beyond the logical output span, corrupt process memory, and terminate the process. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.2.
CVE-2026-106112 1 Sixlabors 1 Imagesharp 2026-10-24 7.5 High
ImageSharp is a 2D graphics library. From 4.0.0 until 4.1.2, ICC LUT16 conversion accepts more than four output channels even though ClutCalculator.Calculate and LutEntryCalculator.CalculateLut store intermediate and output values in Vector4. When DecoderOptions.ColorProfileHandling is set to Convert, a malformed embedded profile can direct interpolation and output-LUT operations to write one float per declared channel beyond the four-float destination. This can corrupt memory and terminate the process; the default Preserve mode does not run ICC conversion. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.2.
CVE-2026-106113 1 Sixlabors 1 Imagesharp 2026-10-24 7.5 High
ImageSharp is a 2D graphics library. From 2.0.0 until 4.1.2, decoding an attacker-supplied 32-bit floating-point TIFF as Image<HalfVector4> and applying HistogramEqualization can produce a non-finite or out-of-range luminance in ColorNumerics.GetBT709Luminance. GrayscaleLevelsRowOperation.Invoke uses the resulting value as an unchecked histogram offset, causing an unsafe out-of-range access and process termination. Adaptive Histogram Equalization and AutoLevel are not affected by this report. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.2.
CVE-2026-106115 1 Sixlabors 1 Imagesharp 2026-10-24 7.5 High
ImageSharp is a 2D graphics library. From 2.1.0 until 4.1.2, the TIFF CCITT Group 4 encoder allocates Width times rowsPerStrip bytes even though T6BitCompressor.CompressStrip can emit encoded row data and two 12-bit end-of-facsimile-block codes beyond that capacity. TiffCcittCompressor.WriteCode performs unchecked writes, and a decode-and-re-encode flow can inherit TiffCompression.CcittGroup4Fax and one-bit metadata from attacker-supplied input. The resulting out-of-bounds writes can corrupt memory and terminate the process. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.2.
CVE-2026-110734 1 Godotengine 1 Godot Engine 2026-10-24 2.5 Low
Godot Engine through 4.7.2 has a heap out-of-bounds write in the Radiance HDR (.hdr) image decoder (modules/hdr/image_loader_hdr.cpp). The run-length decoding loop expands RLE instructions read from the file into a buffer sized from the image dimensions, without validating that an instruction's repeat/copy count fits the remaining capacity of the row buffer. A crafted .hdr file therefore writes attacker-supplied bytes past the end of the heap allocation, with the overflow length and content controlled by the file. The defect is reached automatically when the product imports a crafted .hdr (e.g., when opening a project containing one), and at runtime in exported projects that load untrusted .hdr images. NOTE: the Supplier's position is that the research has identified "no security issues" because the required attacker access is outside of the current Godot Engine threat model.
CVE-2026-79886 1 Hpe 1 Aos 2026-10-24 8.2 High
An unauthenticated buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the PAPI protocol of AOS-8. Successful exploitation could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to disrupt the availability of the affected service on the controller, with a limited impact to its integrity.
CVE-2026-99086 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-integrity: validate the superblock on resume dm_integrity_resume() re-reads the superblock from the device so that it picks up the flags and the recalculate position. It performs no validation on the result, while the constructor validates the superblock it reads and sizes all the in-memory structures according to it. The user may modify the superblock on the underlying device while the dm-integrity device is suspended, so that the two no longer agree. In particular, access_journal_data() shifts the journal entry index by ic->sb->log2_sectors_per_block, while ic->journal_section_sectors and the journal page list were computed with the value that was present at constructor time. Increasing log2_sectors_per_block makes the index run past the end of the journal, and dm-integrity then writes 512 bytes through lowmem_page_address(NULL). Snapshot the validated superblock in the constructor and refuse to resume if any of the fields that describe the on-disk geometry changed.
CVE-2026-79978 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-10-23 3.6 Low
The RTIO streaming completion callback adxl345_process_fifo_samples_cb() in drivers/sensor/adi/adxl345/adxl345_stream.c clamps the amount of FIFO data it will report (read_len = MIN(fifo_bytes, buf_avail)) to the space actually returned by rtio_sqe_rx_buf(), but then queues one 6-byte bus read per hardware FIFO entry at consecutive offsets from read_buf, bounded by the device-reported entry count rather than by the clamp. When the allocated buffer is smaller than a full batch, the driver writes up to 186 bytes past the end of the allocation; a companion defect left data->fifo_total_bytes un-reset at batch start, so an aborted or errored chain could leave a stale write offset that pushes the next batch's writes out of bounds as well. A short buffer is an expected, first-class outcome of the RTIO allocator: rtio_block_pool_alloc() walks the requested size down one block at a time until a contiguous run is available, and the driver only demands sizeof(struct adxl345_fifo_data) + 6 bytes as its minimum. Any streaming configuration whose mempool block granularity is smaller than a full FIFO batch (204 bytes) — for example the sensor shell's RTIO_DEFINE_WITH_MEMPOOL(sensor_read_rtio, 8, 8, 32, 64, 4) used by sensor stream <dev> on fifo_wm incl, or the 16-byte-block streaming example in the documentation — takes this path whenever the pool is fragmented or the consuming thread falls behind. The out-of-bounds writes are performed by the I2C/SPI RTIO backend (DMA on many SoCs) into the shared RTIO block pool, corrupting neighbouring live buffers or, for a pool smaller than one batch, memory beyond the pool itself. The written bytes are accelerometer samples and the destination follows the allocation, so there is no controllable corruption primitive: the realistic impact is silent corruption of other RTIO consumers' data or a crash. Reaching it requires a board with an interrupt-wired ADXL345 built with CONFIG_ADXL345_STREAM, plus buffer-pool starvation, which a co-resident local workload can induce but which also occurs spontaneously under load; there is no network, USB or radio path to this code.
CVE-2026-79982 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-10-23 8.8 High
The Bluetooth HCI USB transport class of the new USB device stack, subsys/usb/device_next/class/bt_hci.c, copies every controller-to-host HCI packet into a USB transfer buffer before enqueuing it on an endpoint. bt_hci_tx_sync_in() allocated that buffer from bt_hci_ep_pool, a fixed pool whose slots are only USBD_MAX_BULK_MPS bytes (64 on full-speed-only builds), and then performed net_buf_add_mem(buf, bt_buf->data, bt_buf->len) with no length check. HCI event and ACL buffers are sized by CONFIG_BT_BUF_EVT_RX_SIZE and CONFIG_BT_BUF_ACL_RX_SIZE and can be far larger, so the copy runs past the end of the 64-byte slot into the adjacent slots and into whatever follows the statically allocated pool. The device runs the local Bluetooth controller in raw HCI mode (CONFIG_BT_HCI_RAW), so the oversized packets originate over the air. With the HCI buffer sizes recommended for full-featured controllers, an unauthenticated attacker within Bluetooth range can supply the overflowing bytes: a connected peer that negotiates Data Length Extension can send ACL fragments up to CONFIG_BT_CTLR_DATA_LENGTH_MAX bytes, and an attacker that merely broadcasts extended advertising data reaches the same path through LE Extended Advertising Report events, which the controller fragments only to CONFIG_BT_BUF_EVT_RX_SIZE. In the stock configuration the overflow is already reached without any radio traffic: the mandatory Read Supported Commands command-complete event is 70 bytes and overruns the 64-byte slot by six bytes on every host initialization. Because net_buf_add_mem() validates tailroom only through an assertion unless CONFIG_NET_BUF_HARDENING is enabled, builds with CONFIG_ASSERT=n — the usual production setting — silently corrupt memory adjacent to the USB buffer pool with attacker-chosen contents, which on a target without memory protection between subsystems can lead to arbitrary code execution. Builds with assertions enabled fail the assertion instead and panic, giving a remotely triggerable denial of service. The fix introduces a separate bt_hci_tx_pool sized to MAX(BT_BUF_ACL_RX_SIZE, BT_BUF_EVT_RX_SIZE) for the controller-to-host direction while leaving the host-to-device pool at the endpoint packet size, which is already bounds-checked during reassembly.
CVE-2026-78119 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-10-23 6.3 Medium
The Nuvoton NPCX eSPI driver parses Target-Attached-Flash (TAF) requests in espi_taf_parse() (drivers/espi/espi_npcx.c), taking the 12-bit length field directly out of the request header in the FLASHRXBUF FIFO. For write and RPMC OP1 requests it copied DIV_ROUND_UP(len, 4) words into struct espi_taf_pckt.src, a fixed 16-word (64-byte) member of a static structure, without ever comparing the length against that buffer or against the negotiated eSPI receive payload size (rx-plsize, 64 bytes on all in-tree NPCX/NPCK SoCs). Both the loop counter and the word count were uint8_t, so the copy ran up to 255 iterations. An eSPI controller that emits a flash request whose header claims a payload larger than the negotiated maximum therefore drives up to 239 32-bit stores past the end of the structure — roughly 956 bytes of out-of-bounds write into .bss — from the eSPI flash receive interrupt handler, while the source reads walk past the end of the 18-word FLASHRXBUF register array into neighbouring eSPI registers. The same unvalidated length was then passed on to flash_write() in espi_taf_npcx_flash_write() with the 64-byte src buffer as source, reading up to 4 KB of adjacent controller SRAM into SPI flash at a host-chosen address, where the host can read it back. A related fixed-size stack buffer in taf_npcx_completion_handler() was overflowed by four bytes on the maximum-size completion path on SoCs whose tx-plsize is 64. The defect is reachable only from the eSPI host side, and only by a request that violates the negotiated payload size, so it requires host firmware or bus-level control rather than ordinary host software; a compliant maximum-length write fits the buffer exactly and is handled correctly. Because TAF exists specifically so that the embedded controller arbitrates host access to shared flash (espi_taf_check_read_protect() / espi_taf_check_write_protect()), corrupting controller memory from a host-supplied field crosses the trust boundary the feature asserts; consequences range from controller crash or hang to corruption of driver state that gates the flash protection regions. The fix widens the counters, rejects any request whose word count exceeds both ARRAY_SIZE(FLASHRXBUF) - NPCX_ESPI_FLASH_HEADER_ADDRESS_LEN and NPCX_TAF_RX_PAYLOAD_WORDS (derived from the devicetree rx-plsize), marks such packets with a new invalid_flag so espi_taf_work() answers them with an unsuccessful completion instead of processing them, bounds the transmit payload against FLASHTXBUF, and adds a default case for unsupported cycle types. Only configurations with CONFIG_ESPI_TAF enabled on an NPCX/NPCK target are affected; no in-tree board enables it by default.

CVE-2026-111280 2 Davenardella, Snap7 Project 2 Snap7, Snap7 2026-10-23 7.4 High
snap7 through 1.4.3 contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in TSnap7MicroClient::opReadArea() that allows malicious S7 peers to overflow client buffers via an unchecked DataLength field. Rogue or impersonated PLCs can return crafted ReadVar responses causing memcpy of up to 65535 bytes into caller buffers, crashing SCADA, HMI, or gateway processes and corrupting memory.
CVE-2026-98769 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-23 8.4 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: f_uac1_legacy: validate bRequest index in generic_{set,get}_cmd generic_set_cmd() and generic_get_cmd() use the low nibble of ctrl->bRequest as an index into con->data[]: u8 cmd = (ctrl->bRequest & 0x0F); /* 0 .. 15 */ ... con->data[cmd] = value; /* OOB when cmd >= 5 */ struct usb_audio_control (include/linux/usb/audio.h) declares data as a 5-element array, so indices 5 through 15 write (or read) up to 44 bytes past the end of the array on the heap. A malicious USB host can craft a class-specific SET_CUR / GET_CUR request with an arbitrary bRequest value, triggering the out-of-bounds access from an IRQ completion handler with no further preconditions. Add an ARRAY_SIZE() guard to both functions.
CVE-2026-98770 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-23 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: midi2: Fix the jack descriptor array sizes The jack in/out descriptor arrays in struct f_midi2_usb_config have the size of MAX_CABLES, which look reasonable -- but it turned out to be incorrect. Namely, the entries for those arrays are added from both inputs and outputs, hence for each loop cycle, it adds two, ended up with as twice as the expected size. This inconsistency may result in potential OOB when a large number of jacks are set up via configfs, although the max number of cables (the loop count) is limited to MAX_CABLES. For addressing it, correct the jack_ins & jack_outs array sizes to twice, MAX_CABLES * 2.
