CVSS v3.1 |
| Integer overflow or wraparound in Windows Virtualization-Based Security (VBS) Enclave allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| An Integer Underflow (Wrap or Wraparound) vulnerability in the srxpfe of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved on the SRX Series allows an adjacent unauthenticated attacker to cause a forwarding-plane denial of service via an ICMP message associated with an SVR carrier session. |
| A flaw was found in mod_qos. An off-by-one pointer calculation error occurs when merging request body parameters with an existing URL query, which truncates the query string during security evaluation while leaving the actual request unchanged. An unauthenticated remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted request that conceals prohibited values from inspection, resulting in a bypass of configured security rules. |
| A flaw was found in GLib. An off-by-one error can occur in the g_key_file_get_locale_string_list function in the gkeyfile.c file when loading a key file with an empty value. This flaw can cause an out-of-bounds access of 1 byte or a denial of service when the out-of-bounds access crosses a page boundary. |
| An integer underflow exists in the DNS proxy component of the macOS NetworkExtension system extension shipped with Akamai Guardicore Platform Agent (GPA) for macOS, whereby if a UDP datagram shorter than 96 bytes that begins with a specific value is received, a subsequent size computation underflows to a near-SIZE_MAX value, causing an allocation failure and uncaught Objective-C exception that aborts the root system extension. |
| Wasmtime before 36.0.16, 37.0.0 before 48.0.3, and 49.0.0 before 49.0.1 contains a denial of service vulnerability in wasmtime-wasi that allows guest WASI programs to panic the host via overflowing filesystem timestamps. Attackers can pass atim or mtim values whose sub-second field overflows the seconds field to path_filestat_set_times, fd_filestat_set_times, set-times, or set-times-at, crashing the host. |
| Photoshop Desktop is affected by an Integer Overflow or Wraparound vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. |
| ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 7.1.2-32 and 6.9.13-57, a crafted PSD file can trigger an integer-conversion error in the PSD decoder on 32-bit builds, causing an infinite loop and denial of service. This issue is fixed in versions 7.1.2-32 and 6.9.13-57. |
| Photoshop Desktop is affected by an Integer Overflow or Wraparound vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb/client: validate new EOF for insert range
smb3_insert_range() does not check if the new file size
(i_size + len) is valid. This allows FALLOC_FL_INSERT_RANGE to bypass
RLIMIT_FSIZE, exceed s_maxbytes, or produce a size outside the loff_t
range.
Use check_add_overflow() to calculate the new EOF. Validate it with
inode_newsize_ok() before modifying the file.
Reproducer, using a file on a CIFS mount:
bash -c '
FILE=/mnt/cifs/repro
trap "" SIGXFSZ
ulimit -f 3072 # RLIMIT_FSIZE = 3 MiB
# A regular write is stopped at 3 MiB.
dd if=/dev/zero of="$FILE" bs=1M count=4 status=none
stat -c "size after write: %s" "$FILE"
# Insert 2 MiB into a 2 MiB file.
truncate -s 2M "$FILE"
fallocate -i -o 0 -l 2M "$FILE"
stat -c "size after insert: %s" "$FILE"
'
Before this change, the regular write stops at the 3 MiB limit, but
insert range grows the file to 4 MiB:
dd: error writing '/mnt/cifs/repro': File too large
size after write: 3145728
size after insert: 4194304
After this change, insert range also fails at the limit and leaves the
2 MiB file unchanged:
dd: error writing '/mnt/cifs/repro': File too large
size after write: 3145728
fallocate: fallocate failed: File too large
size after insert: 2097152 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: sockmap: fix tail fragment offset in bpf_msg_push_data
When bpf_msg_push_data() inserts data in the middle of a scatterlist
entry, it splits the original entry into a left fragment and a right
fragment.
The right fragment offset is page-local, but the code advances it with
`start`, which is the message-global insertion point. For inserts into a
non-first SG entry, this over-advances the offset and leaves the split
layout inconsistent.
Advance the right fragment offset by the fragment-local delta,
`start - offset`, which matches the length removed from the front of the
original entry. |
| AMI APTIOV contains vulnerabilities in BIOS
where users may cause “Integer Overflow or Wraparound” by local access. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could
lead to buffer overflows, memory corruption, and arbitrary code execution, and
also impact Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. |
| Integer underflow and out-of-bounds read in the HTTP/2 server DATA frame parser in Apache bRPC allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause denial of service by sending a malformed DATA frame with the PADDED flag set and a zero-length payload.
Root Cause:
The HTTP/2 DATA frame handler computed the fragment size from the attacker-controlled payload length and, when the PADDED flag was present, decremented the fragment size before ensuring that the frame contained the mandatory pad length byte. A zero-length padded DATA frame could therefore underflow the unsigned fragment size and read the pad length byte past the end of the frame buffer.
Affected Scenarios:
Apache bRPC servers that accept HTTP/2 traffic are affected when a remote client can send crafted HTTP/2 frames to the server. HTTP/2 may be reached through cleartext h2c detection on an HTTP port or through TLS ALPN negotiation.
How to Fix:
(Choose one of the following options)
1. Upgrade Apache bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue.
2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3325
Note:
The fix validates that a padded DATA frame has enough payload bytes for the pad length field before decrementing the fragment size or reading the pad length byte. Malformed zero-length padded DATA frames are rejected with HTTP/2 FRAME_SIZE_ERROR. |
| An integer underflow in the mcpack2pb component of Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to crash a bRPC server by sending a request containing a string field with a zero value_size. The UnparsedValue::as_string() function computes `_size - 1` without validating `_size`; when value_size is 0 the expression underflows to SIZE_MAX, resize() throws std::length_error, and because the exception is not caught on the request parsing path the process aborts (SIGABRT).
Root Cause:
In src/mcpack2pb/parser.cpp, UnparsedValue::as_string() resizes the output string to `_size - 1`, where `_size` is the value_size of a string field taken directly from the network data. A value_size of 0 underflows the unsigned size_t, and the subsequent resize() throws an exception that is not caught.
Affected Scenarios:
bRPC servers that accept nshead frames wired to the ubrpc mcpack2 adaptor (for example the NsheadService + UbrpcMcpack2Adaptor deployment pattern) can be crashed by a single unauthenticated request. Stock open-source bRPC registers the ubrpc/nshead_mcpack protocols as client-only, so default server configurations are not affected.
How to Fix:
1. Upgrade bRPC to a version that includes this fix.
2. Apply the patch in PR https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3450 |

| ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 6.9.13-56 and 7.1.2-31, a crafted local call to the GetVirtualPixels API can trigger an integer calculation error and write beyond a heap buffer, crashing the server process. This issue is fixed in versions 6.9.13-56 and 7.1.2-31. |
| ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 7.1.2-31, a client connected to the distributed pixel cache server can send crafted pixel data that triggers an integer-size calculation error and a heap buffer overwrite, crashing the server. This issue is fixed in version 7.1.2-31. |
| libspatialite through 5.1.0 contains an integer overflow vulnerability in the WKB point and vertex count size guard of ParseWkbLine and related parsers in gg_wkb.c, allowing out-of-bounds reads. Attackers can supply a crafted geometry BLOB with a large point count, for example in a SpatiaLite database file, to crash the process or corrupt heap memory on 32-bit builds. |
| The GUIX binary resource loader never checks that a font page's glyph range is well formed. `gx_page_header_first_glyph` and `gx_page_header_last_glyph` are read verbatim from the file and only the upper bound of `last_glyph` is validated, so a page declaring `first_glyph > last_glyph` makes `last - first + 1` underflow to a very large unsigned count.
That count is multiplied by a glyph record size to reserve the load buffer, and the multiply is unchecked, so it wraps to a small value and the loader allocates a buffer far smaller than the data it is about to write. The load pass then recomputes the count in a narrower type and writes attacker-controlled glyph records into the undersized buffer. |
